About UDF

Who We Are

Upskill Development Foundation Inc. (UDF) is an independent, non-stock, non-profit organization registered in the Philippines. We advance skilling, employability and entrepreneurship so that more Filipinos can access good jobs and build sustainable livelihoods.

We work with educational institutions, employers, industry chambers, government agencies and ecosystem partners. UDF independently designs, implements and operates its programs in the Philippines and is responsible for its governance, partnerships, operational decisions and program outcomes.

UDF and Wadhwani Foundation

UDF is the Philippine partner of Wadhwani Foundation, a global non-profit founded in 2001 by Dr. Romesh Wadhwani. Wadhwani Foundation works across multiple countries with one mission: accelerating economic development through job creation.

How we work

Getting people from learning to earning takes more than training.

We work on four connected levers:

Programs

Employability and entrepreneurship programs delivered through partner universities, colleges, TVET institutions and senior high schools.

Platforms

AI-enabled tools such as My Career Advisor, which connects Philippine degrees and certificates to real job roles, integrated with Government agencies like TESDA.

Research

Local evidence on the school-to-work transition and on what employers actually need.

Grants

Funding and hands-on support for Philippine organizations that already convert training into jobs, so they can scale.

Research shows us where the gaps are. Programs and platforms close them inside the institutions we work with. Grants scale what already works.
